just the way they are

today is my brother's birthday!

i'll just let the pictures do most of the talking on how we celebrated it, how my day went by, how happy i was and how blessed i am to have a family like mine..

my family may not be perfect, but they are more than i can wish for. they are the treasure i cannot afford to lose. they give me sense of security whenever i feel everything else around me is falling apart. they are the ones i trust who will never turn their backs to me when i'll need a hand to hold and a shoulder to lean on. they make me happy and contented. they taught me to value what really matters most in this world, family.

i love them just the way they are. :)

before duty starts

yesterday, i went to school at 1pm. while i was still having a class, the 'rents texted me that we will be watching Columbiana. i really thought that the movie will be so lame and boring. after watching it, i realized i was wrong. it was a good movie.. in my opinion. it was a mix of suspense, action, and drama which my family enjoyed. the protagonist being a girl was a plus, btw. after the movie, mom and i bought some stuff that i'll be needing for my hospital duty for the next few weeks, then we headed at Parkmall to eat at Manila Foodshoppe. after eating, mom did a little vegetable and fruit shopping that took almost an hour while my brother, who was awake for more than 24hours because of his work, slept inside our car. fyi, you can see how sleepy he was in the photo above: sleeping on his chair. hahaha!

P.S. i just took a picture of what i wore because ze photographer was busy sleeping. :)

facts about this and that

(fact: sometimes i'm shy/bold/unpredictable/insecure/confident/vulnerable/straightforward/all at once.)

today's Saturday! we actually have classes today (bummer!) but i'm effin' tired to step out of our house. ha! so before i go to school for my next class (which is approximately 4 hours from now), i'll take time to make a post about something out of the blue. here it goes..

fact: this blog is not really my personal personal blog (i mean, the private kind.) its not that the posts i made were not about who i really am. in fact, its really about my life, my interests, about me, or should i say: the superficial me that doesn't involve any strong emotions.

fact: if none of the people i know personally have known about this blog, i wouldn't mind blabbing everything i feel in here and i wouldn't have created another blog (where no one really knows me) just for my rants/blabs.

fact: because i know strangers won't read too long posts, but if they do, i know they won't mind whatever i'll post, and if they do mind, its not a big deal hearing what strangers have to say about me.. they're just strangers that i don't have any attachments with and the only thing thay can do is cyber slap me if they don't like or if they are so fed up with my rants posts.

fact: if i'll be talking about convenience + privacy, i doubt a person or two have dropped by on that blog. btw, if its still not obvious, i manage that blog anonymously.

as what most bloggers say: blog to EXPRESS, not to impress. so starting from now on (actually i've already started weeks ago), i won't mind posting semi-personal posts, but i'll still keep my other blog in case some of my rants posts will be too personal for me to post it here. :)

family day on a monday

today was a national nonworking day, so the 'rents decided to make this day our family day (since they were both busy during the weekend.)

what we did: we watched Final Destination 5 (spoiler alert!) there were some scenes that my mom can hardly look straight at the screen because of its dreadfulness! and there's more: it was actually the prequel of Final Destination 1! after watching, we fetched my sister at her office then went to Leona to grab some of mom's faves, carrot cake and baguette. we headed to The Gallery to eat in Boosog. after eating, ze sister suddenly wanted to stroll to the nearby restaurants and cafes.. thus, The Pantry came in again! before going home, mom did a little fruit shopping at Parkmall and ze sister wanted to inquire something at Coco hair studio (unfortunately, it was already closed when we arrived.)

P.S. today, the sun was up so i opted to wear the most comfy combo one can ever wear: spade clothing cropped top + shorts + sandals.

weekend routine

last sunday.

morning: my family and i attended a 6am mass. the weather was good. stayed at home for a couple of hours before heading to the city.

afternoon: it rained! my mom did some grocery then we watched a movie. my dad, brother and cousin watched conan the barbarian while my mom and i watched crazy, stupid love (because she doesn't like to watch conan so i have to accompany her.)

evening: we went to The Gallery and ate at Boosog. mom and i checked The Pantry because we find the cafe cute. hahaha! (FYI: for the nth time that we've been going to The Gallery, i haven't noticed the cuteness of the cafe until last sunday.) later that evening, mom did a little fruit shopping at Parkmall.

P.S. the first photo's actually one of my fave spots at home especially during summer days when i'm tired of staying on my bed. :)

i saw the shop just last Friday when we picked the clothes that were included in the photo shoot. when i went in, i was overwhelmed by the wide range of clothing collection that they have.. from lace/sheer tops to bold colored trousers to animal print cocktail dresses! btw, you need not to worry about having someone wear the same piece as you because no item is the same as the other (maybe some in design, but not in color!)

PLUS: they don't only sell clothes, but accessories (some are pictured above) and shoes as well.
