family day on a monday

today was a national nonworking day, so the 'rents decided to make this day our family day (since they were both busy during the weekend.)
what we did: we watched Final Destination 5 (spoiler alert!) there were some scenes that my mom can hardly look straight at the screen because of its dreadfulness! and there's more: it was actually the prequel of Final Destination 1! after watching, we fetched my sister at her office then went to Leona to grab some of mom's faves, carrot cake and baguette. we headed to The Gallery to eat in Boosog. after eating, ze sister suddenly wanted to stroll to the nearby restaurants and cafes.. thus, The Pantry came in again! before going home, mom did a little fruit shopping at Parkmall and ze sister wanted to inquire something at Coco hair studio (unfortunately, it was already closed when we arrived.)

P.S. today, the sun was up so i opted to wear the most comfy combo one can ever wear: spade clothing cropped top + shorts + sandals.

weekend routine

last sunday.
morning: my family and i attended a 6am mass. the weather was good. stayed at home for a couple of hours before heading to the city.
afternoon: it rained! my mom did some grocery then we watched a movie. my dad, brother and cousin watched conan the barbarian while my mom and i watched crazy, stupid love (because she doesn't like to watch conan so i have to accompany her.)
evening: we went to The Gallery and ate at Boosog. mom and i checked The Pantry because we find the cafe cute. hahaha! (FYI: for the nth time that we've been going to The Gallery, i haven't noticed the cuteness of the cafe until last sunday.) later that evening, mom did a little fruit shopping at Parkmall.

P.S. the first photo's actually one of my fave spots at home especially during summer days when i'm tired of staying on my bed. :)

Virus Boutique

all photos by: M.Lamparas (insensibleanthropoid)

Virus Boutique.
i saw the shop just last Friday when we picked the clothes that were included in the photo shoot. when i went in, i was overwhelmed by the wide range of clothing collection that they have.. from lace/sheer tops to bold colored trousers to animal print cocktail dresses! btw, you need not to worry about having someone wear the same piece as you because no item is the same as the other (maybe some in design, but not in color!)

PLUS: they don't only sell clothes, but accessories (some are pictured above) and shoes as well.

*today is inday's (insensibleanthropoid) birthday. please drop by on her blog and greet her a happy birthday! :)

P.S. check out and like Virus Boutique on facebook.
visit their shop at Chatswood Avenue, Bldg. 2 Unit 4, Corner Hernan Cortes/A.S. Fortuna, Mandaue City.

just being random

i'm bored. i'll type whatever comes to my mind. i'll be random as possible. it'll be about my life. so, stop reading if ''my life'' sounds boring. :)

where am i right now?
in our house, on my bed.

what am i currently listening to?
secret crowds by angel and airwaves.

what did i do before this?
i ate my dinner.

do i want to go somewhere right at this very moment?
yes, but i dunno where exactly.

do i want to study for our exam tomorrow?
that's probably the last thing i wanna do.

do i like to read books?
yes. currently reading Paulo Coelho's Like a Flowing River (its been a week since i started reading it! screw busy school days!)

what makes me mad/crazy?
people/things that annoy me.. and studies too! ha!

what movie do i like as of the moment?
Something Borrowed (watch trailer here.)

do i like to travel?
i do! i do! i do love to travel around the world!

what do i usually do when i'm bored?
listen to music, read a book, watch a movie, surf the net, blog, sleep and a whole lot more that teenagers usually do when they're bored.

did i change my blog?
yes. no. kind of. why? vague reason here.

is it raining outside?
nah. i wish it'll rain.. nooow! rain is very comforting.

do i have friends?
friends? yaaah.

yea, its cool to know exactly how boys think (generally). haha!

oh yes! everything is free when i'm with them! from movie tickets to food! hahaha!

how often do we go out?
once/twice a week. during weekends. i remembered what my mom said, the thought was kinda like this: ''we really find time during weekends to bond with our kids after a busy and tiring week to unwind and have a quality time with them/as a family..''

what movie do i like to watch right at this very moment?
The Art Of Getting By. i've been looking for a link all over the net as to where i can watch it. 'til now, i haven't found one.

what do i want to share today?
quotes that i've read from Paulo Coelho's book, Like a Flowing River..

by Mitsuo Aida:
if tomatoes wanted to be melons,
they would look completely ridiculous.
i am always amazed
that so many people are concerned
with wanting to be what they are not;
what's the point of making yourself look ridiculous?

you don't always have to pretend to be strong,
there's no need to prove all the time that everything is going well,
you shouldn't be concerned about what other people are thinking,
cry if you need to,
it's good to cry out all your tears
(because only then will you be able to smile again).

by Jaime Cohen:
''we are such in a hurry to grow up, and then we long for our lost childhood. we make ourselves ill earning money, and then spend all our money getting well again. we think so much about the future that we neglect the present, and thus experience neither the present not the future. we live as if we were never going to die, and die as if we had never lived.''

french macarons for H's birthday

(Hannah, the birthday girl.)

(i was happy until i changed into my uniform. night shift, rawr.)

three Sundays ago, i went out with my high school friends to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. it was also a day before my dear friend's (Hannah) birthday. after the movie, we all went our separate ways except for me and Hannah. to celebrate her birthday, she treated me to dinner (yea, the birthday girl! haha!) and i treated her to a french cafe, Vanille, for some macarons (a perfect place to kill time and eat macarons!)

P.S. had a great dose of laughter that day.. thanks Han! :)

(proof that shows she just can't get enough of me. hahaha! kiddin'.)
